DAVIS PHINNEY:
What can you say? The legendary Davis Phinney owns one of the best records of any cyclist in history. He is a hero to us, not just for his records, but his strength, courage and positivity. NELSON VAILS:
Most famous bike messenger of all time (next to Kevin Bacon) From NYC, began racing with the Tempo Toga Thunderbolts in NYC Gold medal 1983 Pan American Games in Venezuela Silver Medal 1984 Olympic 1000M Match Sprint in Los Angeles










RON KIEFEL:
Seven-time Tour de France racer 1983 Kiefel was a triple U.S. National Champion with victories in the Road Race, Individual Time Trial, and the Team Time Trial 1984 Olympic bronze medalist Men's Team Time Trial along with Davis, 9th in Road Race Multiple stage wins in Coors Classic, Tour de Trump/DuPont and countless races both domestic and international. Kiefel became the first American stage winner in a Grand Tour when he won Stage 15 of the 1985 Giro d’Italia Teams: 7-Eleven, Motorola, Coors Light and Saturn Member of the United States Bicycling Hall of Fame.





MARIANNE MARTIN:
FIRST American to win the Tour de France, in 1984, the year that Greg Lemond “only” took 3rd. Took the lead in the 14th stage in the mountains and kept the jersey into Paris.








ALEXI GREWAL:
Member of Panasonic, Crest, Coors Light, 7-Eleven and other major US teams. 3 time winner of Mt. Evans hillclimb (81, 84, 90). Stage winner 1986 Tour de L’Avenir. GC winner 1988 Tour of Redlands. Stage winner 1992 Tour DuPont. Stage winner on Coors Classic Morgul Bismark. GC winner 1992 Vuelta de Bisbee. 1st American to win Olympic Road Race gold (1984).







DALE STETINA:
Winner of more than 200 domestic and international races during the 1970s and 1980s. He won national championships in road, track and time-trial races and was a member of the 1976 and 1980 U.S. Olympic teams. He also was the record holder of the grueling Mt. Washington Hill Climb event for 20 years. Two Coors Classic / Red Zinger GC wins, and the highest overall average finishing position of all time w/ 9 top ten finishes.

THOMAS PREHN (pictured here with Davis):
Raced every Coors Classic and Red Zinger except 1988. 10 years national team member and member of the first USA team to race in Europe in modern history (1978). Rode for the Schwinn Team, against Davis most of his career, except one year together at the Red Zinger on the AMF team. Spenco 500 winner 1985 1986 Corestates US Pro Champion WROTE the book on bicycle racing tactics! Check it out!

LEN PETTYJOHN:
Raced for 12 years as a Cat 2 and Masters racer. His experience as a director includes the Coors Light team (1989-94), Crest team (1988-90), the Lowrey's women's team (1987-89), the Lowenbrau team (1985-87), the American Savings/Dia-Compe team (1982-84) and the Panasonic team (1980-81). Columbine/Panasonic riders included Lennard Zinn and Alexi Grewal. Dave Paranka also became a member of that team. Between women, men and juniors his riders captured more than 20 national, world and Olympic championships. His premier team was Coors Light, with stars like LeMond, Grewal, Phinney, Kiefel, Roy "the boy" Knickman, Alex Steida, Scott Moninger and many others. The Coors Light Team won 135 races in their best season and more than 500 races from 1989 through 1994. Also founded the Saturn Cycling classic, the famous 130 mile + race from Boulder to Breckenridge.


ANDY PRUITT:
During the 1980's as a below the knee amputee Andy achieved Cat 2 USCF race status and during that time he won 2 UCI/Amputee World Championships (85 & 87), 2 national Championships (85 & 88), the European Championship (87) and was 6th in the 1988 Paralympics in Soeul Korea. Recently, He is more famous for Founding the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine and his work in cycling medical circles where he consults with Specialized Bicycles, Team SaxoBank, TeamQuick Step as well as many other athletes at all levels.





CLARK SHEEHAN:
A native of Denver, Sheehan found himself drawn into cycling during the late '70's and early '80's by the Coors Classic. He began racing in 1983 at the age of 14 and won a junior national time trial title. Turned pro for AC-Pinarello in 1989 at age 20. 7th overall 1989 Tour de Trump. Joined Coors Light team w/ Len Pettyjohn in 1990. Joined Eddy B's Montgomery Securities 1995. 1995 Won Stage Eight of the Tour DuPont in the longest breakaway in the race's history, 23rd overall. 1995 Third in CoreStates Championship. 1996 raced with US Postal Service.




LENNNARD ZINN:
1st 1980 Durango Silverton RR, course record for several years 1st 1980 Morgul Bismarck RR 1st 1980 New Mexico State TT 7th 1980 National TT Technical writer for VeloNews Fabled custom frame builder for people like NBA legend Bill Cartwright, Triathletes Scott Molina and Colleen Cannon, Connie Carpenter, Track king Colby Pearce and many others. Author of Zinn and the Art of Road Bike Maintenance, Zinn and the Art of Mountain Bike Maintenance, Zinn and the Art of Triathlon Bikes, and a number of other books. Original member of Len Pettyjohn’s first big team.

DAVE PARANKA:
Started racing in 1978 ... first race was in running shoes! Twice thwarted in attempts to become CO state road champion placed second to Davis in 1981 and to Alexi in 1983. Coors Classic 1980 through '83, was 5th best American in 1981. Top ten in nationals that year in both time trial (see below, nice field!) and team time trial ... Named to the Olympic Development team in the years prior to the 1984 Games. Robert Shaver
Won 50+ races from 1971-1978, including the Tesistan Road Race, Jalisco, Mexico, Boulder Mtn Road Race, Morgul Bizmarck, Keystone Classic Stage Race, Rapid City Stage Race, Larimer Square Pro-Am Criterium and 3 State Championships. Best All Round Rider, Western US 1977. Raced a partial season in France 1976.
