2010 R2V: RIDE DETAIL
THIS IS A RELAXED PACE RIDE! WE WANT YOU TO TAKE TIME TO SMELL THE ROSES ALONG THE WAY AND FEEL HOW LUCKY WE ARE TO ENJOY THE DAY, BEING TOGETHER, THE BIKE AND RIDING FOR THE CAUSE!
RIDE START/FINISH: BOULDER BEER COMPANY
DIRECTIONS: DENVER - GOLDEN - FT. COLLINS
CHECK IN TIME: 6:30 - 7:20AM
RIDE START TIME: 7:30AM
LENGTH: 40 or 60 miles
PARKING: We encourage locals to ride to the event start if you can do so safely. Otherwise parking will be available around the Boulder Beer Start and Finish.
The full route available will be ~60 miles over rolling terrain that includes 1 optional challenge section.
PLEASE BE SURE YOU HAVE TRAINED ENOUGH AND YOUR BIKE IS IN GOOD WORKING ORDER TO MAKE THE 60 MILE JOURNEY!
A general guide would be to be able to complete 64 miles in 4.5 hours at 14mph average speed.
Challenge section: Left Hand to Jamestown is a 8.21 mile gentle grade around an average of 4% up to Jamestown.
The challenge section can be omitted from your route if you wish. This will remove a short amount and a little burn from your ride.
